Zoom

Zoom will be used to run our online training workshop for returning and remote-based markers.

How do I get started with Zoom?

Prior to the online training, you'll receive an email from our recruitment team with a weblink for the Zoom meeting.

If you've never used Zoom before at all, or you have a new computer and haven't used Zoom on this new machine, please click this link up to one hour before the training begins. Follow the prompts to make sure you can join the meeting smoothly.

Do I need to allow Zoom to access my microphone and camera?

Yes, you will need to Allow Zoom to access your microphone and camera.

When you join the meeting, you will see a pop-up prompt asking if you would like to allow Zoom to access your microphone and camera: follow the prompts to allow this access.

Visit the Zoom FAQ site for more detailed instructions:

Allowing microphone, camera, and screen share permissions in the Zoom Web App

How do I make sure my microphone is muted?

Keeping your microphone muted during the online workshop improves the audio quality for all the attendees. You may be asked to unmute yourself if you are called on to ask or answer a question: otherwise, it's courteous to keep your microphone muted in Zoom.

Look for the small Microphone icon:

How do I use Chat?

You may be asked to use the Chat feature in Zoom to read or write a message or question during the online training session.

To open the Chat window, click the Chat icon:  Image removed. This icon looks like two speech bubbles that overlap.

To send a message, type your message and then click the Send icon:Image removed. This icon looks like a paper plane, or a triangle.

When you send a message in the main chat, all meeting attendees will be able to read your message.

What is my eMark password?

Click here to reset your password: passess.com.au/mainsite/forgotpassword.php

It takes less than two minutes to reset your password.

You can also start a live chat with a real person if you need more help: www.passess.com.au

Can I have eMark open in multiple windows and/or tabs?

No, please only have one window and/or tab open with eMark running. If you mark scripts in multiple windows or tabs at the same time, your work will not submit correctly.

eMark is designed to be used in one window and/or tab only.

My eMark account is locked, how do I get it unlocked?

There are two main reasons that eMark accounts may be locked:

  • Time of day
    • Please wait until marking hours resume to access your account
  • Onboarding or training issue

Time of day
eMark is not available overnight, marking is only available during these times:

Monday to Friday

  • 8:00 am accounts are unlocked
  • 10:00 pm accounts are locked

Saturday and Sunday

  • 8:00 am accounts are unlocked

  • 6:00 pm accounts are locked

Easter Public Holidays

  • Accounts will locked over the Easter public holidays, including Good Friday and Easter Monday. Marking will resume on Tuesday.

Onboarding or training issue

Your eMark account may be locked if:

  • your training is showing as incomplete in our system
  • we are missing some of your onboarding paperwork
  • you have had an unexplained absence

If your account is locked, and it's during marking hours, please start a live chat with our team to get support: www.passess.com.au

My dashboard isn't showing the correct total of marked scripts

There are two main reasons your total scripts may not match your personal tally:

  1. Practice scripts are not included
  2. Slight delay between finishing a script and the dashboard updating

1. Practice scripts (sometimes called calibration or warm-up scripts) are not tracked in your eMark dashboard. We recommend that you track your practice scripts separately from live scripts in your personal records.

You will be paid for both pracitce and live scripts.

2. The dashboard updates every 5 minutes, so if you've just finished a script, there may be a short delay before the dashboard refreshes. Check back in 5 minutes to see if the total is updated.

If after 5 minutes the total hasn't refreshed, please log out of eMark and then log back into eMark. This can resync your browser with eMark and refresh the dashboard.

If this still doesn't do the trick, please start a live chat with our team for support from a real person: www.passess.com.au

I've completed my Practice, but I can't access Scoring

If you've completed your Practice scripts, but eMark hasn't yet updated to show the menu path for Scoring, check that you have clicked Commit Set on your Practice scripts:
Image removed.

The system will only mark your Practice scripts as Complete when you click Commit Set.

I am seeing No More Work available

You may have reached your Cap or limit for that Question or Item.

Please try a different Question or Item if these are available. Once you've completed all the work that has been allocated to you, please use eMark to send a message to your Group Leader to request more scripts.
